‘How any woman does it is beyond comprehension’: Giggling Harry reveals his delight at birth of ‘amazing’ 7lb 3oz son as he praises ‘incredible’ Meghan and says they’re STILL thinking about a name

Prince Harry revealed his joy at the arrival of the real baby during a television statement on Monday in which he praised his “amazing” wife.

The Duke of Sussex announced that Meghan had given birth at 5.26 a.m. to a child who weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces, after more than a week of delay.

Prince Harry said that “the little thing is absolutely to die for” when he announced the news on Monday after Meghan went into labor in the early hours of this morning.

Speaking from Windsor, a prince Harry, visibly moved, shared his immense pride while joking that he had slept only two hours the night before, before calling the birth “the most incredible experience I could ever have imagined”.

In a statement, shortly after the birth was announced, Buckingham Palace said Meghan and her baby were “doing well” and that the Queen and other members of the royal family were “delighted” with the news.

Meghan is now recovering at Frogmore Cottage, the home of the couple located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, and now the attentions are focused on the baby’s name, which Harry referred to “the next part” of his new fatherhood .

Revealing that he was “incredibly proud” of his wife, a Prince Harry said: “Mother and baby are very well”.

“It was amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everyone.”

“How any woman does what she does is beyond comprehension, but we are both absolutely delighted and very grateful with all the love and support of all those out there.”

When asked if they still had a name, he said: “I’m still thinking about names.”

“The baby is a little behind, so we’ve had a little time to think about it.”

“That’s what follows, but for us, I think we’ll probably see them in two days as we planned it as a family so we can share it with you and everyone can see the baby.”

When asked what it was like to be present for the birth, she laughed and said: “I have not been in many births.

‘This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible and, as I said, I am incredibly proud of my wife.

“As all parents and parents will say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I am about to reach the moon.”

He also revealed that Duchess Doria Ragland’s mother is currently next to her daughter in Frogmore Cottage, suggesting that Meghan had had a home birth.

A formal announcement published by Buckingham Palace included a long list of members of the Royal Family who were “delighted” with the news of the birth, including the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, and William and Kate.

The announcement also called Meghan’s mother, Doria, who was said to be “very happy”, but her father Thomas was notoriously absent from the nominees.

It is currently unknown if the duke or duchess has spoken with Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Snr, since birth, after apparently cutting ties with the 74-year-old girl after a series of public problems last year.

From his home in New Mexico, Thomas Markle Snr expressed his pride at the birth of his daughter’s first child after he was rejected by the official announcement of royalty.

In a statement, the 74-year-old former Hollywood lighting director said “God bless this child” and he hoped his grandson would “serve with grace, dignity and honor.”

He fell out of favor with the royal family when he organized a paid paparazzi session before the royal wedding. He then retired from the wedding due to his poor health, leaving Meghan to walk down the aisle alone.

In an interview, shortly after, amid reports of a growing gap, he suggested that it might be “easier” for his daughter if she were “dead.”

The sex of the baby, announced around half past three in the afternoon, was a surprise to the duke and the duchess, who had chosen not to find out what they had until the moment of birth.

The son of Harry and Meghan is now the seventh in line to the throne, behind his father, Prince Harry in the line of succession and beating his uncle, the Duke of York, further down the line to eighth place.
